Green Eyed Monster… NOT!

As someone who isn’t living in the great US of A, I frequently read about offers that are ever so tempting BUT only available ‘locally’.

It makes me soooo annoyed especially when my hopes go UP then come crashing down. Having blogs on my reader that descibe in gory detail how to get lippies at 50cts or looking at the gorgeous new collections available only statewide totally doesn’t help either.

Just as a for instance… ZOYA is having a nail polish exchange where you send in any old bottle of polish and get a brand new shade of your choice for US$3.50. Now how lovely is that? sigh… seriously, stateside gals, take up the offer. The colors look soooooo gorgeously bright and beautiful!

Yeah, I guess you could call me a sucker for punishment cos it doesn’t stop me from trying again and again OR drooling over images on my computer screen.

So I try to remind myself about…

from weheartit.com

which also brings to mind what my church is currently going through. (yeah, I know I don’t talk about religion here normally but its strange situation which I know that God will make right!)

So what’s in my m/u rainbows? well, here in Singapore we’ve got access to so many Asian brands. Particularly ones from Japan and Korea. I know that I’ve just jumped on the Korean bandwagon. Lovely shades of m/u at oh so affordable prices. And easily available either at shopping centres or online.

I’ve got a lovely neighbouring country with lots of local brands at lovely prices (especially if I get them during sales and a nice FX low). Sure am looking forward to heading there next week!

I have every freedom to live vicariously through other people and their wallets. In fact, if I got everything that I drooled over, I doubt I’d have the time/energy to actually use them all.

and last but not least, there are so many online communities here selling 2nd hand stuff. I tell ya, every weekend I’m trolling this particular group waiting to see if I can find any gems for sale. So far, I’ve bought OPI polishes and some other random m/u items. All at affordable prices. I’m happy although my wallet isn’t.

So I’ll count my rainbows and enjoy every moment and item I have.

What are the rainbows in your life?

Computer down…. Computer up…

heya everyone,

I managed to publish the last post from a friend’s computer. And got my hubby to help with figuring out what happened to mine. Well, my computer needed some new parts. Specifically a new graphics card. *sigh* so after spending some moolah… I’m back online and gonna start blogging again :)

Its been a super busy week. Had a conference I was attending. Got inspired and renewed thanks to good speakers and a wonderful hubby who watched over my kiddos for two days so I could indulge in some brain overload. There are so many times when I really need to be reminded of how blessed I am to have a man who’s supportive, loves me a whole lot and is willing to do what it takes to take care of me.

The ‘nice’ thing about the conference, makeup-wise, was that it gave me a chance to try out a sample of BB cream that I had bought. Look out for my review sometime soon. Short version… Skin79’s VIP Gold Super+ Beblesh Balm SPF25 PA++ is a winner in my book. *big grin*

Just a little more randomness, realised during this break that I really do blog just for me. Was upset a few weeks ago that no one seemed to be commenting and I had no way of knowing exactly who was reading what I babble about. But it really doesn’t matter. This is my place to say what I feel like saying and share what I’m interested in. That’s enough reason for it to exist. :P

til my next post… cya all! and if you are reading, let me know by “following” me please. I do like to keep up with both online and offline friends :)

its gonna be slow...

ok, gals, I've got drafts lined up to fill in and post BUT they're on my desktop computer... and its decided to stop talking to the monitor... or maybe its the other way round... I dunno. Regardless, I can't get my grubby hands on them and I dunno how to link my phone w my macbook so... I'm kinda stuck for now. Not a good place to be but...

so until I get stuff back to working order, its gonna be quiet here. When I do get back, I've got a couple of nail polish posts, eotds and some reviews...

bye for now... but not for long... I hope

A doggy post…

This is *not* a beauty related post… so stop reading now if that’s what you’re looking for!

Had a couple of friends who were wondering about the reference to dogs in my previous post, Who let the dogs out.

well, the short answer is Dayna made a set of mineral e/s specially for one of the Voxers and named them after her dogs. So Scully, Jack, Popo and Gigi are all dogs. Gettit?

Speaking of dogs… my mafia wars clan on facebook is having a ‘family feud’. So my team, the Monkey Junkies, is up against the Toto’s Terrors… the sheer amount of trash talking via pictures on my clan’s public FB page is amusing… here’s a link if you wanna have a look.

Here’s one in particular that totally amused me.

and finally to wrap up this doggy post… here’s a cute smiling dog! He makes me wanna smile right back at him.

Til next time… WOOF!

SilkNaturals 2010 Spring Colors

Gorgeous spring colors from SilkNaturals

SNmay10

Mystery Adventure Club.. who doesn’t like a mystery? I sure do! I love surprises too… Karen promises for a one time payment of US$37.95 (int’l)/US$34.95 (US), you’ll get three lovely shipments over 3 months. Each shipment will have GWP products worth a minimum of US$12. You could anything ranging from eye shadows to skin care products. So if you’d like to add more excitement in life, consider signing up for this club.

The eye shadows are so vibrant looking. Different from the ‘usual’ range SN offers. Karen says its because her intern, Thea, designed most of them this time. I’m tempted… very tempted but have never really liked the texture and color payoff of SN e/s. I like bright colors and SN til now didn’t have them. But now… oh deary me… I so need help in not pressing that “add to cart” button.

I’m oh so tempted to pick up the two new lippies, Best Friend and Truly. They look so fun! and I’ve always loved SN lippies and their prices too.

As with my eyeshadows (but to a much lesser degree), I have more than enough lippies already… all except two are from SN.

Decisions… decisions… decisions… I hate making them! and I think I’m going through major haulage withdrawal symptoms… I really gotta stop looking at websites… but don’t let me stop you from shopping… *evil grin*

So long… Farewell…

Those who have followed me for a while know I LOVE TheSheSpace (TSS) eyeshadows. They’re affordable. They’re colorful. AND Heather always seems to come up with new collections.

Well, the sad news is TSS is closing down.

*universal sobs*

The good news is that Heather’s made one last collection to say “bye bye”. Here’s what she had to say…

As we near the end of the About Face Eye Colors division of my company and prepare to kiss these colors good-bye in order to make room for Hope Quest, I simply couldn't make the transition to Hope Quest and the other surprises coming without one last collection! So, I took little pieces of things that life has taught me over the last several years and turned it into one more BOLD collection!!!
I hope that you are as excited as I am for the next phase of this color endeavor and all of the great things that I pray Hope Quest will bring!
You will notice that the individual jars for this collection are $3.00....that is because they are brand spanking new, never been seen before....one last hurrah colors....and I sincerely hope that you enjoy them!

Fortune Cookie Wisdom has a rather large range of colors all with fortune cookie style names like “hindsight sheds light” and “give dreams light”.

(images from TheSheSpace.com)

They are only available in full sizes but at USD3 a pot… its still very affordable.

Now for the $100 question… am I gonna buy them. Simple answer is no. I like the colors… oh yes, I do!! BUT I still have over 400 of her colors in sample sizes that I haven’t used up yet… not one!! can you imagine?

I don’t need full size pots sitting around… *shudder* even though, I *know* they’re mineral and will last and last and last… I may get on the TSS forums and beg for samples though. *giggle*

Should I or should I not… hmmm… that is the $1000 question! Let me know what you think. :P

*edited to add* hmm.. I just noticed the Scorpio (I'm one) collection is up for clearance... if she still sold sample sizes, I'd be really tempted but...

long overdue updates…

Its been a while… a good long while… for those who have been patiently waiting for me to post, thank you for waiting…

So what happened… well, first up was my kid’s schooling. Still really coming to grips with everything I need to do in order to ensure they all stay on track and up to date.

Second, kinda fell off the m/u bandwagon for almost a month (connected to the 3rd point). The current EOTD posted was from more than a month ago… yeah, I am totally outta sync. The next few EOTDs will probably be long overdue pics that have been lurking on my computer too. They’re still nice looks just ‘old’ ones. *cheesy grin*

Third, landed myself in an emotional hole… I don’t know if its my hormones playing up again or other factors but I’ve been sleeping endlessly and just can’t gather together enough energy to do anything. This issue has plagued me on and off throughout my life. What the solution is… I have honestly no idea. Anyways, am on the way outta the hole for now and feeling so much better hence the posting. *giggle*

Fourth, reading all the other m/u blogs with their frequent hauls really makes me wish I were back at work with extra money to spend. All I have to offer is stuff that I already have and I’m just not sure if that’s what is worth blogging about. Still, I’m gonna keep posting EOTDs just for my own record keeping purposes. Will definitely be shopping my stash though so don’t expect any new purchases to appear.

Having said all that, in no way am I gonna give up on this blog. Its a work in progress and I’ll keep blogging about stuff that interests me.

At the moment, its nail polishes… oh, you don’t know how hard I’m sitting on my hands… the itch to press “BUY”… especially for some OPI colors like INK… drool… but I haven’t.

Well… actually I have… just one bottle of Mad as a Hatter from the recent Alice collection. Figured the mad amount of colorful glitter in that one was sure to perk up my mood a little. Can’t wait to see it in real life! *evil chuckle*

Til later… or whenever… keep your life colorful and happy!

Manicure Protector

So I don’t really do my nails that often… but I was kinda ‘mesmerized’ by this product. I thought it was so… erm.. girly… and diva-ish. I can imagine myself walking through the house fluttering these things at my kids and going, “I can’t help you… my nails need to dry”.

DSC08894

They’re plastic tip things that you can slide on to your fingertips after you’ve done your manicure.

Here’s the descriptions on the back of the box. I don’t read Japanese so have no idea what they’re talking about but the pictures do speak for themselves.

Pretty hangers

We went out as a family to City Square recently. Its a lovely new eco friendly shopping centre. The best part about it for us is the shuttle bus available from our town central. My kids loves taking buses. :)

Anyway, on to why I wanted to post this. Aren’t these lovely? I can see using these for my prettier dresses.

A little bit of randomness…

DSC08840

This is what sits on my computer table every day while my little girl is off at school. I ‘bear-sit”. Otherwise, I’d be lonely and she’ll be lonely. :P

It does fill me with warm ‘fuzziness’.

DSC08844

Here’s something that my kids love to eat at McDonald’s. Its PEPPER FRIES! well, according to them its shaker fries but… whatever. How to make… super simple.

Buy a packet of fries. Ask for a brown paper bag. Get about 5-6 packets of black pepper. Pour fries and pepper in bag. Shake vigourously. If you’re too tired to do it, the kids are more than happy to help. Pour out onto the serving tray.

Optional : eat with pepper ketchup… see?

WLC #7

Heya, if you’re looking for makeup entries… they’re coming.. I promise… all lined up in my phone (the pics that is)… and in my head. Just haven’t had the time to sit down, get the pics downloaded and blog about it.

My schedule this year is really so full of things that need to be done and kids that need to be taken care of. Really learning that a mother’s life is not one of tea breaks and computer time but of rushing from point a to b to c to a and dealing with whines/demands/complaints/squabbles at the same time. All fun stuff!

Don’t get me wrong, I am so proud of my kids and I love them to bits. Just wish they’d give me a break a little more often.

Here goes my youngest with his “I wan mummy” plaint… and off I go again…

WLC #6

I was going to do a video for this week but its been so horrendously busy… this will have to do.

I knew going into this week that I was gonna be faced with massive amounts of yummilicious food… seriously… I mean what is Chinese New Year without bak kua (bbq pork slices), pineapple tarts, love letters, cashew nut cookies, peanut cookies… the list is endless. Then you have my lovely darling mother who believes in feeding everyone chocolate… different kinds.. different sizes… different combinations… Its a diet disaster waiting to happen!

So I went into the season giving myself 4 days to eat anything I wanted. Of course, I did practice moderation and stopped many times before I wanted to… even left the table once to continue the chatting elsewhere cos I was snacking way too much.

The result… well, I’m still the same weight. No more, no less. Seems like this is the weight my body wants to be at the moment. Did take a 4 day ‘holiday’ from exercising but have started again beginning Wednesday. I either have to ramp up my ‘move my body’ program or I have to seriously watch what I’m eating… am way too reluctant to do either… sigh…

Cat’s challenge this week was to share what we’ve learnt over the last 6 weeks. For me, I think its patience and perseverance. I just have to keep plugging away at getting more physically active and I do believe over time, my body will show the results I’m looking for. Its taken years to get to this point… it might take a while to persuade ‘settled’ fats to move on out. :P

Its also been fabulous to have a group of gals who are doing the same thing. Having them at the back of my mind helps me to control what I eat and also what I do in terms of exercise. While I haven’t lost any weight, I have become 200% more active than I was before. In my books, that’s a very good thing.

Til next week… keep those bodies moving and keep that smile on your face :D

A Prosperous Start to the New Year

Gong Xi! Gong Xi! To my chinese readers… may the year be filled with good fortune and lots to eat! and above all “shen ti jian kang”! (gee I hope I get that hypy right… :P)

The first day was a looooooong tiring day of visiting, dealing with sugar high kids and a homebody hubby who just wanted to go home. We covered a total of 9 homes… starting out from home at 7.30 and finishing at about 4. Headed back to my mom’s place for some r&r before two more aunties and assorted cousins visited in the evening. By staying those extra hours at my mom’s, I ‘escaped’ having to visit two more houses. *grin*

Finally reached our home at 9.30. Super tired… my kids just washed up and it was “lights out”. Even my hubby slept pretty early.

By 10.30, when I was finished sorting and clearing stuff, all I could hear was the collective chorus of snores. Rather heart warming… but then maybe I’m just strange.

So here’s my look for the first day… tried out a new pair of half falsies – Ardell Accents Lashes 301. Used them with the DUO lash glue. They got glued on at 6.45am.

Ardell Accents Lashes 301

Impressions : easier to use than full lashes and I didn’t run about the whole day feeling like I had spiders on my lids. On the whole, very happy with them. They added length at the ends where it mattered. Only thing I’d do different the next time would be to put mascara on and curl my lashes before putting these babies on.

On to the EOTD (as usual, click thru for bigger pics) :

  • Monistat – base
  • NYX jumbo eye pencil in baby blue
    • smudged all over lid and up into the crease
    • to take off some of the ‘redness’ aka warmth from the shades I was using next
  • TSS The Doll House (LE Grab Bag)
    • patted all over lid
    • used under the brows as a highlight
  • TSS Goodness and Grace (LE Ho Ho ‘08)
    • 1/3 out lid and up to the crease and blended to the brow bone
  • TSS One Stuck Sleigh (LE Ho Ho ‘08)
    • outer v and blended
  • Majolica Majorca Neo liquid liner in black (999)
    • upper lash line
  • Maybelline’s Volum’ Express Turbo Boost mascara in black
  • Inuovi’s brow pencil in Cocoa

DSC08776  DSC08777

Face :

  • Biore’s Radiant Sunscreen lotion
  • SilkNatural’s foundation and perfecting powder blend

Cheeks :

  • Canmake blush in 05
  • SilkNaturals’ blush in Climax and Babydoll (mixed)

Lips :

DSC08800DSC08799

DSC08794DSC08791

And here’s what my eotd looked like at 9.45pm…  the lashes stayed put (even though I’d brought both glue and liner just in case)… minimal creasing near the tear duct. Hardly any fading I could see.

Really, for me, NYX jumbo eye pencils combined with TSS e/s are my HG for long wearing looks that last through heat, humidity and super long days.

random rambling thoughts

Been kinda quiet cos have lost my mojo on the m/u front… sad huh?

Plus have been super busy getting things ready for Chinese New Year. The usual spring cleaning and sorting out of rubbish for 5 people takes time and energy.

I still am doing my 20 floors a day plus cycling. But there’s no difference on the weight front… still holding steady. Whether that stays the same after yesterday and the next 3 days of eating… is anyone’s guess.

Cat’s WLC challenge this week is to expain what I’m getting from doing this. Well, for me, like I’ve said in a previous video… the focus has moved off from weight loss to getting my butt moving. And given that new focus, I’m achieving that goal. Definitely getting more exercise and on a daily basis than I was before Cat’s idea.

On the beauty front, so far I’ve gotten these items ticked off

- refilled my powder pot (my usual mix of SilkNatural’s perfecting powder, date bait, silica); refilled my foundation pot (SilkNatural’s ebony/buttery gold/ivory foundation, zinc, silica). I’m good for another 2-3 months :P

- did a pumpkin masque plus honey oat masque for my face. Its clean and soft now.

– did a hair masque using my favourite silk protein and shampoo… held it all in with a shower cap while…

- sitting in a nice long relaxing bath using dead sea salts, lavender/rose geranium eo and silk protein. Scrubbed and scrubbed using exfoliating gloves. I’m squeaky clean and soft now.

- painted my fingernails with Skin Food’s Jojoba pure nail in BE003. Its kinda an antique gold shade

- painted my toenails with Misa’s “come and get it”. That’s a base color of pink with a holographic blue/purple tinge on top.

- did the same for my girl… except opposite. What I had on my fingers, she got on her toes.

I do need to decide what I’m gonna use for m/u tomorrow. That’s completely up in the air. Should I go with plums or with golds… decisions, decisions.

now back to finishing my to do list… ang pows are next…

GONG XI FA CAI everyone!

WLC #2

First up, yes, I know… I haven’t posted in an entire week. Life seems to be like that. One week I’ve got free time to spare and the next, I’m swamped with life and work. Will try to do better.

Cat’s challenge this week was to post a picture that we liked about ourselves. While, this one that I chose was taken during my honeymoon… that was a happy time and lots of lovely memories.

P1010103

In terms of weight, haven’t lost anything at all… want to be discouraged but I do know I’ve been doing my best given the time I have and I do feel I’m becoming physically stronger. So… guess I’ll just have to be patient a little more.

Exercise this week was about 20 stories/floors each day – split up into 10/5/5. Its 8 steps per flight and two flights per storey/floor. I don’t even wanna think how many steps I’m doing. LOL! Biked my kids around too… plus tried to take the stairs where it was available.

The plan for this week… ramp up my iGallop workout (at least 3x this coming week). Got hold of the VCD for that so will be following the workout session there. I seriously expect to ache by the time I’m done. Would really like to strengthen my core (aka abs!). Will continue with my 20 storeys a day and sporadic biking.

Will also try and do more posts this week… mustn’t slack too long :P

WLC #1

I’m not the type to do New Year resolutions… they don’t work for me. What I do do is think long and hard about doing something, then once I’m sure that I’m sure that I’m sure that I want to do it… well, I do it.

And for 2010, I've decided to fulfil my long held wish of toning up and maybe even trimming down. I started with a fruit lunch the first week of Jan. Lots of water and fruit to stave off hunger pangs til dinner time.

Then on Monday, I started with a short  11 min session on our elliptical trainer. I covered 5km and for my trouble… had achy thighs and calves the next morning. But I’m determined not to complain and to keep going til I do reach my goal.

Then I sat down to do my daily blog reading using Google Reader. I’m a regular reader of various beauty blogs and personal blogs of friends… this time a post from Rebecca from PandaDoesMakeup caught my eye.

She was talking about a Weight Loss Challenge that Cat from Cat’s Little Obessions was running. Its for a period of 12 weeks and is meant as just a group of like minded ladies providing moral support to each other while trying to shed some pounds (about 2 a week hopefully).

That sounded like it was meant for me… but upon reading Cat’s blog, I realised I had missed the deadline for signing up. Hoping for a reprieve I emailed Cat explaining the situation. The darling said… “i'll make an exception just this once for you”. *hugs*

So I’m IN!… yay! more support for me…

Her first challenge was to list 3 things that you like about yourself. The idea is to start focusing on the positives.

So here’s my three (I focused on my face)

1. Ear lobes – I got pretty “buddah-ish” type lobes. Good for earrings

2. Lips – I got a pretty defined cupid’s bow. No need to draw in. Easy to use lipsticks to fill in color.

3. Double eye lids – am so thankful I have them. I think learning how to do eye shadow would be harder if I had monolids. Most tutorials out there deal with the caucasian type eye not the asian eye.

She encouraged us to do videos instead of just blogs so we could see the changes over time. I thought that was a good idea… but… video.. scary!!!! and I didn’t know how to do it.

But I remembered playing with my kids on our new MAC powerbook and that has a in built camera which is pretty clear. So here’s the result…

Today, I cycled my kids to school then went to the supermarket to buy laundry detergent. Then it was on to our OSIM iGallop for a 30 min session targetting my core. Next up was 5 mins on the elliptical machine.

I really want to keep up the momentum… wish me luck?

p/s this is not gonna turn into a weight loss blog… don’t worry :P

*thud*

what you just heard was the sound of my jaw hitting my keyboard…

check this out – from here

Picture #138

Its done by Petrilude… he’s one of the makeup gurus I watch on a regular basis. Love love love his Halloween video tutorials and have learnt a lot about placement of e/s from him.

Even my hubby doesn’t mind having his voice in the background. Says its one of the nicer ones. *grin*

If you’re reading this Josh… *hugs* and thank you for sharing your knowledge!

*edited to add.... he did a tutorial! woot!

A call at 4am…

Ok, so here’s another total rant… stop reading here if you don’t wanna hear all about it and scroll down about a page to read about more fun stuff… two hauls!!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am soooo praying that this is just a STAGE in my eldest’s development. Been dealing with so many issue this past couple of weeks. Ranging from lying to stealing (well, according to him borrowing… but who borrows $100??) and now…
He spent the nite at my MIL’s. I went to bed forgetting to switch off my ringer on my handphone (this is my old set cos my new set won’t take photos and I had to send it in for servicing which is a whole ‘nother rant! *grrrrrrr*)
Woke up from a deep sound sleep by a very loud ringing phone. Picked up the call and was greeted by silence… lots of silence. Even with my repeated hullos… there was no reply… and then the call got disconnected. Given the number reflected by my caller id… the suspect list was really short… couldn’t be my MIL or my FIL… so only person left in the house… my son.
The call triggered one of the worst headaches I’ve had since getting preggy way back in 2001. It wasn’t an ache… but a throbbing pain echoing in my head. The kind that makes you wanna bang your head against something. So got up and popped in two panadols (paracetamol) and tried to go back to sleep.
Woke up late with the pain still there… mumbled some nonsense to my hubby over the phone (yeah, I know… same house and I can’t get my butt off my bed to go talk to him in person) and he coaxed me to go eat something so that he could give me a stronger painkiller afterwards. After breakfast, in went Ponstan, an antiacid and a muscle relaxant. All of which combined to make the pain more of a fuzzy interference in my head.
The meds have lasted quite a while and the pain hasn’t really returned… it more of a nagging ache now. Much easier to handle… just that I’m sensitive to sharp sounds. Sends an echo bouncing round my head. Sigh…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Anyways… on to more fun stuff… checked my mailbox…

*drum roll*

My package from LT was there… nice and fat… and so was my recent SN order. (no pics… cos no phone => no camera *sobs*)

*cartwheels around the room*

I <3 <3 getting packages in the mail!!!

opened LT’s first and here’s what she sent me (for pics, check out her post here -

  • SN perfecting powder (yippeeee I’m all out)
  • Revlon azure mist palette (been eyeing this in the stores but couldn’t bring myself to pay the price)
  • LA Splash liquid eyeliner in Blue Whale
  • EDM blush sample in Walkie Talkie
  • Body Shop blue and pink/peach e/s
  • Jessie’s Girl e/s in skywalker (can’t wait to try this one out!)
  • Ulta e/s in Truffle and Zephyr
  • Juice organics light tint moisturizer – sample size (ideal for my quick trip to Malacca coming soon)

Its been a while since I’ve gotten excited over m/u but getting my hands stuff I’ve been drooling over and itching to try… well, put it this way… pretty good chance I’ll be going out with my face done tomorrow. :D

Then I opened my second (smaller package).

*wanders off on a tangent*

You know how there are some companies that just give you such good service that you can’t stop buying from them? Well, I gotta say SilkNaturals is one of my all time fav m/u companies. Their customer service totally rocks! even when I had problems with shipping going awol, they made it up to me.

ok… so I placed an order to restock on perfecting powder, date bait, foundation (ebony, white and tried a packet of the new glow) and their new zinc powder. The way it works is that they give one free ‘surprise’ e/s and then with every $30 you get a e/s of your choice FOC.

well, I don’t like SN’s e/s… doesn’t suit my need for color *grin* but I DO like their lippies… so I added a note to my order asking if I could please change my free e/s to a lippie instead.

Surprise surprise… they not only sent my the freebie lippie I requested for but an extra one for good measure… and… I still got a free e/s thrown in.

The color I asked for was Fashionista… a nude wine shimmer vegan lipstick and I got Mirage (Ultra Nude Vegan Lip Gloss) as my extra. I have to say I wouldn’t have order Mirage on my own… but I can’t wait to see what it looks like on my lips and how it’d blend with other shades to make something special :)

So… the day started out bad and ended on a pretty upbeat note. Gotta stay thankful even on bad days, don’t you think?

stay cool everyone and Happy Thanksgiving for those of you who celebrate it.

A rant… a rave and…

some postive stuff first…

remember the lovely set from Crabtree and Evelyn that I got. Well, I’ve been using the hand therapy cream… really like the smell and how it feels on my hands.

I’ve never used a shea butter product before but I sure do like the way it gets absorbed into my skin and not leaving a residue behind. The tube sits on my computer table and I use it when I remember. I try to make sure to rub it into my cuticles too and my elbows.

On the whole, really liking this although I’m not sure if I’d buy if for myself. Still I have 2 tubes of it so it should last a long long time. :)

Been looking at the various holiday collections from mmu coys… tempting… oh so tempting but I’m staying strong… so far. I have put in an order with SilkNaturals for mre powders and foundie… in particular, gonna try out a more ‘glowy’ foundation. Can’t wait to see how that’s gonna turn out.

ok… really have to get this off my chest… totally not m/u related… but parents out there… help me out…

how do you keep your temper when dealing with a kid who doesn’t want to to do the work you set him? I’m clenching my teeth so much they ache and I think my blood pressure is sky rocketing. Seriously, 2 hours to do 1 problem sum question is totally nuts! I don’t really wanna ask my hubby for help cos his idea of help is the liberal use of Mr Cane. sigh…
